I’ll take this every year.
At least I can have expectations again-Go Cats
We done very well for a new staff that had limited time on their recruiting against schools that had an entire year.
Lets see what this staff can do now with an entire year behind them recruiting and building the correct relationships.
But let’s don’t forget, we still may sign a full class of 25, and our rankings may change. We are waiting on a couple of kids that are 4 stars to see how their ACT scores shake out.
We may get a couple more kids in the coming weeks that move our rankings, we just won’t see it for awhile and neither will anyone else.
Other schools compare their recruits to the national level. We must compare ours to the SEC. Tough, but it is getting better.
Other schools compare nationally! LOL 7 of top 11 and 5 of top 8 are SEC schools. All Schools compare to SEC because SEC is the best in the Nation in FB! ! There is no better way to compare yourself as a footbal team when it comes to recruiting. It’s why the SEC has a strangle hold on the BCS Championship. IMO
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
GO BLUE OR STAU HOME! ! !
Much Better Kokamo, it’s also about fitting a certain system… Our system is unique in that not many SEC teams are going to be a hurry up Air Raid system combined with a solid ground game. I honestly like our class better than 2 or 3 other SEC classes ranked ahead of us due to our new schemes. IMO landing a LB and another DT would take this class over the top…
The signing of 8 4 star recruits[especially Hatcher and Timmons]announces that uk is back in the hunt–11 players from Florida–my good friend Howard schnellenberger has told me several times that in our old days the coal fields of pennsylvania and eastern ohio were the top harvest areas of our times–but today give him Florida and you could take the rest{Stoops and his asst. coaches targeted Florida and made it pay off–
I think Florida will continue to pay off along with Ohio and —as well as a lot of surrounding states–
This is just the beginning–it won’t be easy–look at all the SEC teams in the top recruitining lists[we go head to head with all the top recruiting schools] but it is a beginning–

Least we forget, thanks MITCH.
Mike, I agree. We are quick to blame Mitch when things aren’t going well. Let’s pat him on the back when he gets things right, and he definitely got the football hire right.
If we can recruit like this year in and year out, AND do something with it, we can soon start to compete with the elite. I hope I live long enought to see a SEC competitive Kentucky team.
