Ryan Timmons wants to be part of “image” that attracts recruits in and out of Kentucky

By LARRY VAUGHT

Do you think Kentucky high school players look to see how you are doing at Kentucky? That’s a question I asked Kentucky sophomore receiver Ryan Timmons of Franklin County, who was not coming to UK until Mark Stoops became head coach and Neal Brown offensive cooridnator.

“I think it is the image we are trying to create and recruit and also for guys out of state. (Jason) Hatcher had a lot of big schools like Alabama and USC and I had Ohio State and Florida, so it kind of set the tone,” Timmons said. “We didn’t go to the big programs. We decided to come to Kentucky to show that Kentucky is going to do big things.”

Keep on tellin’ this story to potential recruits Ryan Timmons, keep on shakin’ this tree. Work hard, play hard, study hard and if you feel like it recruit hard for Kentucky. Help this program bring the Kentucky boys into the Big Blue Nation. Thank you Ryan Timmons for your commitment! “til the battle is won”

I live in louisville and im from louisville and im going to tell y’all im a BIG Kentucky fan. Most of my family and friends are big Kentucky fans that live here in louisville. I study incoming recruits and for a long time Ive been saying Timmons is the next Cobb. I do not think he is as elusive as Cobb was but that came from playing Qb in high school and some at Kentucky. I personally see Timmons having between 600-900 yards this year. Probably between 50-70 catches. His Jr. year he will be all SEC. I see him going for back to back 1000 yard seasons his Junior and Senior years. He could become UKs all time leading WR. I also see Jeff Badet coming on this year and Alex Montgomery if hes 100% healthy. By the time these 3 guys are Juniors we will have one of the top 10 WR groups in the nation with the incoming recruits.. Blake Bone TV Williams and Thad Snodgrass only makes it soar through the roof. Watch what Stoops is bringing in. I also hear Boom is moving to WR which at the slot position he would make alot of people miss in open space. One more note. Give the football to Braylen Heard and Jo Jo Kemp 50/50 they are going to be a 2 headed monster and if one of them get hurt you can throw Josh Clemons in there.

Horton too; I think he could be a tremendous college RB before he’s through. I would love to see Josh Clemons have a special year. From what I have seen, Jo Jo is the best RB in the stable right now and will only get better.

Let’s not forget Boom Williams too. Our running backs are SEC backs and Neal has depth to work with. Not to mention Ryan can also be used as a RB since he is versatile.

I am thankful Ryan is a UK Wildcat. He made a lot of Kentucky football fans very happy.
