This is not going to be a fun post. I came to the game Saturday (also had to attend a wedding in Lex). I stayed at the Merriott Courtyard. Sunday morning I woke to find my car had a deep key gouge down the driver’s side door. And, several other cars with the same license plate state that I had also had been keyed.
I grew up in Danville, graduated from UK and, until this year, a 35 year season ticket holder to UK football. I drove 8 hours each way and paid for a hotel room for 35 years to watch the Cats play football. I moved to South Carolina in conjunction with a business move about 28 years ago and continue to live there even though I just retired.
There is a reason KY is either 48th or 49th in education and income. When you damage the property of another person just because UK currently has a lousy football team it does not speak well about your intelligence. With the help of the military, some good luck, and a whole lot of hard work I escaped this sort of red neck mentality. Unfortunately, most of you are stuck with it.
Want to know why people from outside the state look down on KY? Take a look at my car.
That is so sad RJ. Just no reason for anything like that
Very sad indeed, but no reason to pigeon-hole all of us Cat fans…common sense
says it was a stupid drunken individual, and as we all know, those kind live in
EVERY state.
