i am interested in hearing what the UK fans who attended the games in louisville thought of the YUM CENTER ! i have friends in Louisville tell me the place is terriffic i would like to hear what the fans thought.
Best ncaa site I have been to
Thanks for your answer, I have been told by people who have been there and by what i have seen of it and read the reviews that it’s the best arena in college basketball.Heck it’s probably better than MANY NBA ARENAS !!!!!
I hope people read the SI expose on UCLA it’s time they got cut open a little. This is an opprunity for Uk and Uofl to recruit southern california ! I do not know why Howland has been retained for next yr (maybe only to give the AD time to line up a coach ) Uk gets accused of improprities but the more you read about the Wooden era the more questions it raises ! Both coaches in Kentucky can go and recruit there and poach talent, UCLA is renovating pauley pavilion but it does not come close to the YUM CENTER or what UK deos with Rupp arena (which i suspect will be a new arena ! I expect both Cal and Pitino to evploit this to the max.
If Uk takes the NNCAA TITLE THIS YEAR (which is a very good bet) then the Cats will have EIGHT NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS which is 3 behind ucla (there program is currently a mess) i want to hear from other UK fans and larry, How long would it take Uk to catch UCLA and maybe surpass ucla. they have won all of 1 title in the last 37 years !!! This would NOT BE TOLERATED AT UK !!!! so i think UK could catch and surpass the Bruins in 15- 20 years or maybe even less. What does everyone else think ?
UCLA is a mess, but Cal showed how quickly things can change
Larry; you make a great point but, UK’s program is so strong right now that UCLA does not compare in any way shape or form. Both UK and UofL have better facilities, stronger fan bases, better coaches. I still think when UK wins number EIGHT in a few weeks we can start counting down to when UK becomes NUMBER ONE IN CHAMPIONSHIPS.There is something wrong with a program while once GREAT, has ONE title in the last 37 years.Arizona knocked over UCLA during the eighties and nineties ! What does it say when Bill Waltons son Luke played at Arizona ? PLENTY, Larry UK is headed for the top spot in National championships it’s just a matter of time.
Larry: i was doing some reading on the task force and the future of Rupp Arena, for what it is going to cost to upgrade and remodel they might as well go ahead and build a brand new arena with ameneties similar to THE YUM CENTER. The state of kentucky with 2 of the top 7 programs in college basketball history should have the best facilities. what is your opinion on this ?
