Julius Randle denies ESPN report that he’s already decided to enter draft

By LARRY VAUGHT

Kentucky freshman Julius Randle took to Twitter tonight — Kentucky does not make players available for interviews — to deny an ESPN report that he has already decided to declare for the NBA draft.

He posted: “Idk (I don’t know) who reported what but I haven’t made up my mind about the draft yet. Haven’t even talked to my family about it. So it’s all false.”

Randle averaged 15 points and 10.4 rebounds per game, both team highs. He had just 10 points and six rebounds in the national title game loss but had 24 double-doubles in 40 games, the nation’s best total. He’s projected as a likely top five pick if he does enter the draft.

I can’t stand Jeff Goodman. I live in SW Ohio and was in the gym when Luke Kennard announced he was going to Duke. Before Luke spoke, The Franklin Coach spoke then, Lukes dad spoke. When the Coach began speaking in front of a packed gym, I was looking at my iphone and Goodman tweeted out that “Kennard chooses Duke over Kentucky”. That was retweeted by everyone and by the time Lukes dad started talking, people was already whispering, ‘he is going to Duke’. Goodman basically took away Kennards big moment all for self pleasure.

I guess in the race to be first, accuracy flies out the window (although I’ve never considered Goodman to be accurate by any stretch of the imagination). I wish they’d just wait and let these guys make their decisions and announce it in their own way.

I would love to go back to the days were there wasn’t cable, cell phones and the techoiolgy that we got now a days. Today it’s to easy spread false gossip and some sports writers tried to make a buck to that could hurt people lives.

Wish we had more of LARRY VAUGHTS AROUND!!!!

If you watch any NBA games you can clearly see that not even Julius is ready to move on. Having to play on a team that had Andrew Harrison has robbed Julius of the kind of year he could have and should have had. If the Harrisons move on, Julius would do well to come back and play with a true point guard. If the Harrisons stay, Julius better move on while his draft stock is as high as it is. Julius, thank you for making the biggest sacrifice of any starter, to try to bring this group of one and dones into a team. I wish you the best with whatever you decide.
