LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) – Point guard Ryan Harrow finished with 15 points and a season-high eight assists, and Kentucky rolled Eastern Michigan for a 90-38 win Wednesday night in the Wildcats’ final nonconference game of the season.
Harrow scored in double figures for his fourth straight game after tallying a total of 14 points in his first five of the season.
Kentucky (9-4) never struggled against the Eagles (7-6), using nine unanswered points to create separation early and a 17-2 run midway through the first half to pull away.
The Wildcats’ defense did not allow Eastern Michigan to score on consecutive possessions in the first half.
The Eagles finished 24.2 percent from the floor (15 of 62), digging themselves an early hole and forcing shots in attempts to make up for it. Eastern Michigan was 6 of 28 in the first half, a cold stretch that carried over well into the second: The Eagles did not score for a combined 8:37 of game-time that leaked more than 5 minutes into the second half.
By the time Jalen Ross dunked with 13:38 left in the game to break the scoreless streak, Eastern Michigan was down 53-17.
Four other Kentucky players also finished in double figures: Kyle Wiltjer (17 points), Alex Poythress (16), Julius Mays (13) and Willie Cauley-Stein (11). Nerlens Noel finished with eight points, 13 rebounds, three blocks and two steals.
Harrow missed an early game this season while suffering from flu-like symptoms and then missed three games in a row with an undisclosed family issue. He’s scored at least 12 points a game since being re-inserted into Kentucky’s starting five.
Glenn Bryant led the Eagles with 10 points.

Evil twin sister here, and very mad. Could not watch the game not even on the internet. I tried 4 sites and none of them would connect or it was blacked out. I guess the game was a little lopsided. Oh well, I better not ever miss another one because some jerk decided I was not good enough to watch. I don’t know whose idea it is to put games on ESPNU but they better think twice about it the next time. I’ll make them a deal they can’t refuse if they do!
Linda here…ignore her, she has her pants in a knot. Glad we won and now we move one, gonna get better and better! Sure wish I could have watched too.
ESPN puts some of our games on ESPNU because they want you to buy the cable package that includes ESPNU. I think they will keep on until more people buy the cable packages (moneygrabbers)!
They’re not the boss of everything. (although I already have ESPNU from purchasing years ago).
