Here is what freshman Archie Goodwin said Thursday night he would say to UK fans who have given up on the Wildcats because of their recent play:
“I don’t blame them. If we haven’t changed over the duration of the season, I don’t know what to say. It doesn’t look like anything’s going to change,” Goodwin said. “We can still change, because we’ve showed games where we have played though throughout the whole game. Like, when we played Missouri, we played tough throughout the whole game and we got away with a win.
“But if we don’t do that, then I don’t blame those fans who may be down on us. We’re not giving them a reason to believe in us.”

You know what I wish, remember that poll Larry had up, where this team would end up at,
Sweet 16, Elite 8, etc, wish I could take my vote back now.
But one thing I’m curious about, when next years team rolls in, will this team be an aberration, or a sign of things to come. Hopefully we will look back and just shake our heads and sigh, but if we do that wonder what the fans will call this team in Cal’s history.
Unforgettables? Uncoachables?
“The Forgettables”
“The Quitters”
“Team No Pride”
If they know they aren’t giving us a reason to believe in them, then why aren’t they giving us a reason to believe in them?
And Ira, I hope it is an aberration. But, the reality is that freshmen are freshmen. Cal has gotten a whole lot of exceptions to the rule. Not so this season. This group is more indicative of the performance of a true freshman team. Let’s hope next season’s group is another set of exceptions or it is going to be ugly again.
I just want them to believe in themselves….That would be a Great Start !
Amen to that!
I know we all like to dream up names for our teams so I was thinking in terms of:
The Un-Coachables
As another person posted-”If Cal can’t get thru to these guys then it is virtually impossible to do” I agree with that.
I’ll be watching us beat Fla. tomorrow (I hope)
