How far is the reach of Kentucky basketball?

That’s not an easy question to answer, but apparently there is more UK basketball interest in Italy than I realized based on this picture I got from Kentucky fan Ashley Campbell. She was visiting Siena — a town I was in a few weeks ago also — and came across this UK jersey in the window of a local store.

Too bad I didn’t see it when I was there or I might have bought it just for the novelty of saying I had a Kentucky shirt from Italy.

But this just shows the international impact Kentucky basketball is now enjoying thanks to winning the national title. Enjoy the photo and I appreciate Ashley thinking of us and being willing to share it.
