Recent Kentucky commit Kie Beckham of Ohio wants as many talented players with him at UK as possible and is already busy talking to other potential recruits.

One of those is Cincinnati offensive tackle George Brown, who could make his college choice this week. He has a bevy of scholarship offers and has Kentucky on his final list.

“I feel good about it,” Beckham said about Brown’s decision.

The tackle’s decision could have a big impact on UK target Damien Harris of Madison Southern, the top-ranked running back in the 2015 recruiting class.

“I feel if we can get George Brown, then we can can Damien Harris,” Beckham said.

    I hope he is right.
That would be 2 more great players for our Cats.
    Keep it rolling Stoops.

Still fascinated by the ongoing effort these young men put forth to recruit their own teammates.

It sure would not hurt our chances with Damien. George would be another piece of the puzzle that we need. My only hopes are that Kentucky can show enough improvements to persuade Damien to commit early enough that it might cause a ripple effect with some other 4 and 5 star players to come to Kentucky. Go Cats!

Crossing my fingers. UK needs Brown.

I am going to get on my soap box a little bit today. How valuable was Drew Barker and his decision to commit to Kentucky and convince other players that they needed to take a look at Kentucky? It was great to get Matt Elam but…if he was taking so long to be totally sold on Kentucky, would there not be hesitation on others’ part to consider Kentucky. Influencing other prospects to come to Kentucky is a crucial part of the decision.

It is every player’s right to take as much time as they need to make their decision but if you want the best to come to play with you an early decision is a must. Being torn is a part of the recruiting process but don’t ever deny that your heart is something that can’t be second-guessed. Lebron will tell you that his heart took him back to Cleveland.

My biggest concern about Mark Stoops is not whether he will win or not, it is being able to keep him. Honestly, Cleveland-both teams scare me to death. I can see the Cavaliers coming after Cal and I can see the Browns coming after Stoops when he turns this football program around.

If you are George Brown, Drake Jackson, Damien Harris, or Josh Myers keep in mind that your commitment is about the total program and its continued success. Make a statement.
