ARLINGTON — There were no Kentucky players on the court at AT&T Stadium when Aaron Harrison settled into a front-row seat across from the Kentucky bench.
He came early to watch his sons, Aaron and Andrew, try to lead UK to a national championship win over Connecticut.
What about the rest of the family?
“I came about by myself. I didn’t want anybody to bother me. I want to think about the game,” he said showing why his sons are so intense.
College basketball TV analyst Kenny Smith stopped by to say hello and told him what an “incredible journey” his sons had been on this month and to enjoy the game win or lose.
Once he left, Harrison laughed and said, “Win. That’s what we do. That’s all they have ever done. The only word we are thinking about tonight is win. You don’t come this far to lose this game.”
