LOUISVILLE – It’s easy to tell it’s almost football season because today was the annual Governor’s Cup press conference/golf scramble here.

Coaches Joker Phillips of Kentucky and Charlie Strong of Louisville both addressed the media and golfers and neither backed away from stressing the importance of the game.

I also got to sit next to former UK legendary quarterback Babe Parilli for lunch and had ESPN analyst Tom Jackson, a former Louisville standout, sitting across the table. They told some incredible stories.
