South Carolina assistant agrees with Kentucky fans

By LARRY VAUGHT

South Carolina assistant coach Cypheus Bunton, a Kentucky native and former player and coach at Western Kentucky, agrees with Kentucky fans who think the SEC is better off when UK is having a banner year.

“Kentucky is good for the SEC. Everyone pretty much knows that if Kentucky is doing well, the SEC is doing well. They are a storied program and have been around and won a lot of championships. If they are up top, there will be a lot of talk about the SEC and that is good for all of us.”

So Kentucky fans are right?

“I would have to agree with that. There’s no way to deny the SEC is better when Kentucky is good,” he said.
