Schedule for Calipari’s radio, TV shows

By LARRY VAUGHT

Thanks to Martin Newton. John Calipari’s director of basketball  operations, I have a complete schedule for the UK basketball coach’s radio and TV shows that I thought you might enjoy seeing and saving.

The TV shows are going to be much more creative and interesting than past shows. I can’t wait to see what Martin and Cal have in store.

And the radio shows with Tom Leach and the fans should be far different from last year with Billy Gillispie. Not sure how many questions Cal can answer because he gives such long, detailed answers, but the shows will be entertaining.

Here is the complete list of scheduled radio and TV show times:

When I was young, back in the days before we had dozens of sports channels and Web sites to flood us with constant info, I used to live for the Coach Joe Hall show on TV. In recent years, I haven’t watched the coaches show much because honestly, they were pretty boring. Here’s hoping Cal and Martin can re-invent the show to make it more entertaining!

  • Larry Vaught:

I think they will. Once they get going, maybe we can have a forum here to evaluate the show and give our pros and cons. Think Martin would appreciate it

  • TrueBlueJohn:

I remember when Rick Pitino started doing his post-game show from courtside. That was a really exciting and neat change to what had become rather routine over the years. There were several thousand people who would stay after the game for the show.

  • Thanks for posting the schedules.

  • Larry Vaught:

no problem. I know how frustrating it is at times to try and figure out when the shows are one. If I need to do this again later, just let me know

  • Martin Newton:

    Larry,

Thanks for posting the schedule for Coach Cal’s show. Our goal is to make the show more interactive and informative for Cat fans. Hopefully fans will get a more in-depth look of our players, staff, and special guests. I look forward to hearing your feedback about how we can better serve the Wildcat nation. We are blessed to have the greatest fan base in sports and hopefully we can respect the past, while representing the future. Go Cats!

  • TRUBLU69:

THANKS All Around!!!!!!! GO BIG BLUE!!!

  • Larry Vaught:

Thanks Martin Newton. We will make sure to have folks here give you feedback on the TV show especially. Looking forward to seeing the changes you have made
