John Calipari’s future players performed well in the Jordan Brand Classic Friday night in Brooklyn but the game ended with one big worry — how is Jarred Vanderbilt.

Coming off an eye-opening double-double in the Nike Hook Summit, the 6-8 Vanderbilt had 17 points and seven rebounds Friday before going down in the final minute with an ankle/leg injury. He missed the final third of the season with leg/ankle injuries and also had some issues as a junior.

The versatile Vanderbilt posted on social media after the game that he was okay but that could obviously change.

Point guard Quade Green had six points and 10 assists. He can hit jumpers — as he did Friday — but showed off his court vision with no look and alley-oop passes.

Forward P.J. Washington can stretch a defense had 11 points Friday but also came away with six steals, a really high total in an all-star game. Like Vanderbilt, his strength is his versatility at 6-8.

Center Nick Richards had 10 points, including several big dunks, and showed the length that Calipari hopes will make him an imposing defender.
