Florida playmaker Shockey Jacques-Louis has indicated for months that he really liked the Kentucky football program. Today he proved it by announcing his verbal commitment to the Wildcags.
The 6-0, 170-pound junior first heard from Kentucky as a freshman and has liked the Wildcats, who recruited him as a receiver, since then.
His other scholarship offers — Georgia, South Carolina, Missouri, North Carolina, Virginia — show his level of talent. He’s also been a player that UK quarterback commit Jarren Williams of Georgia has targeted to join him at Kentucky.
He had 21 catches for 318 yards and five scores last season and becomes the third receiver in UK’s 2018 recruiting class — and third from Florida (Marvin Alexander and Cadarius Gaskin are the other two).
Offensive coordinators Eddie Gran and Darrin Hinshaw were the main recruiters for Jacques-Louis.
