After Lynn Bowden gave his verbal commitment to Kentucky, many wondered if another school — Ohio State — might decide to go after the player many considered the most skilled football player in Ohio last year.
The Buckeyes did, but Kentucky never had to worry. Bowden wanted no part of that.
“They tried to come in the day after I committed. That is not the place for me. I wish them well and good luck to them. I am going to Kentucky,” Bowden said.
Was that a place he was looking at?
“No,” Bowden said.
Then he quickly added, “No,” again to emphasize he had no love for Ohio State.
For him, it was always Kentucky once he committed.
“The whole coaching staff I know. They know how to win and I am a winner. I don’t like to lose. We are just going to go get them,” Bowden said.
