Kentucky basketball fans normally turn Nashville into a Big Blue Lovefest during the Southeastern Conference Tournament.

That’s why a long-time UK fan was shocked when she got an email notification from Kentucky athletics along with other season ticket holders that UK still has SEC Tournament tickets on sale for Nashville.

Here’s what the email said:

“Planning to follow the Cats to Nashville in March? A limited number of ticket books remain in the Kentucky allotment for the 2017 SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament. The tournament will take place March 8-12 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN. Ticket books are priced at $360 each and two ticket books may be ordered per eligible season ticket account, while supplies last.

“Please note, seat locations will be assigned in February according to your K Fund priority ranking, and a majority of Kentucky’s ticket allotment will be located in the upper-level.  Ticket books will be mailed later in February.
“Ticket books may be ordered online through your My UK Account using the Account ID associated with your season ticket account. Questions? Call us at 800-928-2287.”

As the fan noted to me, usually UK fans are buying up SEC tourney tickets from other schools. Maybe they still are but as of today Kentucky has yet to sell out of its own allotment of SEC Tournament tickets.
