John Calipari is not sure when sophomore Isaiah Briscoe or senior Derek Willis will play again.

Briscoe  missed his second straight game Friday when UK routed  UT-Martin 111-76. He has had what was described as a pulled muscle in his back after taking a hard fall in a win Sunday night.

“They’re going to do an MRI tonight because they’re surprised it’s still bothering him. So let’s hope it’s clear for his sake,” Calipari said after the game.

Briscoe did not shoot with other players before the game and again was not in uniform for the game.

Willis was injured early in the second half. He grabbed his hand and headed straight to the locker room. He returned later to the bench but did not play again.

“He sprained his thumb, his right thumb,” Calipari said.

So I asked him if he thought Willis would be out long.

“I have no idea. I hope not,” Calipari said.
