LEXINGTON – Kenney Orthopedics has inked a sponsorship deal with Global Sports Management to help bring the Sacramento Kings and Washington Wizards preseason game to Rupp Arena, the Bluegrass Sports Commission announced today. The game will be played on October 15th at 7:00 p.m.
The game will feature the return to Lexington of former UK stars DeMarcus Cousins, Skal Labissiere and Willie Cauley-Stein of the Sacramento Kings along with John Wall of the Washington Wizards.
Kenney Orthopedics will be onsite raising awareness for amputees and highlighting many of the accomplishments. Kenney Orthopedics CEO “Mo” Kenney is an amputee himself and owns 11 practices in a multi-state area. “This has become a great event for Lexington, to be apart of it and raise amputee awareness is really exciting for our business” Kenney said.
Kenney Orthopedics will be bringing in a national amputee basketball team to play in an exhibition during halftime against former UK Men’s Basketball Players Tod Lanter, Jon Hood, Mark Krebs, Erik Daniels, and Perry Stevenson.
In addition to this event, Kenney Orthopedics will recognize two former Paralympic gold medalists Dennis Ohler and Todd Schaffhauser who will also be hosting a amputee walking clinic earlier that day at Cardinal Hill/Health South.
