Sophomore quarterback Drew Barker will not only make his first Southeastern Conference start Saturday, but it will also be his first road start when UK plays at Florida Saturday afternoon.

Coach Mark Stoops says the team has done nothing special to get Barker ready for the road atmosphere.

“We’ve just done our normal crowd noise and just gone about our business. I don’t anticipate that it’ll be an issue,” Stoops said. “It’s loud and you’re going to have to deal with that and we have at practice.

“He’s been efficient, so I don’t know what else you can do. Get him locked in and ready to roll.”

One plus for Barker is that he made SEC road trips and knows what to expect.

“He’s been around. He’s been around for a while so he does know what to expect. And he did play at Vandy last year, if I’m not mistaken,” Stoops said.

Why does he say he wants him locked in and ready to roll, and then complain about the offense scoring too fast. Lot of double talk from this bunch.
