We should have a lot to talk about tonight on Cat Calls on WKYB (107.5 FM, wkybfm.com) tonight from 6-7 at Mallard’s on the Danville Bypass.
Former University of Kentucky lineman Dave Hopewell will be with me as always for analysis as will Olivia Prewitt, my intern. We’ll get additional perspective this week from former UK punter Jason Todd, who is now an assistant coach at Lincoln County.
We’ll look back at last week’s debacle — though probably not for long — and discuss Saturday’s game at Florida and whether there’s any chance for a Kentucky win.
We had a great crowd last week and hope more fans will come out and participate in the show. Mallard’s has great food, terrific service and plenty of televisions along with our show over the sound system for all to hear.
In the weeks ahead, we’re going to have Centre College soccer All-American Destine Graves, a former UK player, on with us Sept. 22 and then on Sept. 29 we will have former UK quarterback Freddie Maggard at Mallard’s with us.
On Oct. 6, fan Emily Julian will make an encore appearance after being so popular in her debut last week. Coming up Oct. 13 will be Chigger Flynn of McDowell Place as our guest co-host.
The idea is for the show to be fun and informative, so give us a listen this week.
Also coming up at 7:30 a.m. on Sept. 15 on WPBK (102.9) will be UK women’s assistant basketball coach Lin Dunn and then at 7:30 on Sept. 29 we will have former Miss Kentucky USA and Louisville volleyball standout Katie George, who now works for WDRB-TV in Louisville and covers UK and Louisville.
