Kentucky got another commitment for its 2017 recruiting class today when Florida cornerback Cedrick Dort verbally committed to UK.
The 6-1, 170-pound Dort is a three-star prospect in some recruiting rankings and two-star in another. However, he had scholarship offers from Wisconsin, Iowa State, Purdue, South Florida, Syracuse and others.
“I love their new facilities, and they also have to be some of the best in the country; it just blew my mind, you know? was at the old facilities first, but once I saw the new facilities, I was just blown away. I can see Kentucky on the come up,” Dort told Scout.com’s Corey Bender.
The cornerback had concentrated mainly on basketball until last season but is now all-in for football and could probably play other secondary spots in college.
Dort is UK’s 12th commitment in the 2017 class and third from Florida.
