Offensive coordinator Eddie Gran’s recruiting connections in Florida continue to pay off for Kentucky as three-star defensive back Michael Nesbitt of Fort Lauderdale verbally committed to the Wildcats today.

He posted this on Twitter:  “As everyone know, it’s not an easy decision, but with that being said, I’ll be committing to Kentucky.”

The 6-0, 185-pound Nesbitt had at least 23 scholarship offers including LSU, South Carolina, Louisville, Auburn, Arkansas,  Maryland, Pittsburgh and West Virginia.

He is ranked as the nation’s No. 72 cornerback and the No. 104 prospect in Florida by 247SportsComposite.

Nesbitt is also UK’s fourth commitment from Florida out of the 13 verbal commits UK has in the 2017 recruiting class. The others are defensive back Cedrick Dort and receivers Clevan Thomas and Joshua Ali.
