LEXINGTON, Ky. – After evaluating the expected weather conditions Friday in the Lexington area, the NCAA has decided to adjust the game times for the 2016 NCAA Softball Lexington Regional.
Game one featuring Illinois and Utah will now be played at 11 a.m. ET with game two following at 1:30 p.m. ET, in an attempt to beat the incoming rain.
Game times for Saturday and Sunday will remain the same.
Both of Friday’s games will still be available via ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app with Dave Baker and Dorian Craft on the call, as well as 1580AM radio with Dick Gabriel.
With inclement weather pending, the Kentucky baseball game with Missouri on Friday has been moved to noon.
Along with the time change, Kentucky’s Senior Day ceremony, originally scheduled for Friday’s game, will take place before Saturday’s first pitch, which is set for 1 p.m.
Kentucky (30-23, 13-14 Southeastern Conference) clashes with Missouri (25-27, 8-19 SEC) for just the 11th time in program history on Thursday night. The two sides enter the series deadlocked at 5-5 all-time against one another, with the series tied 2-2 when games take place in Lexington.
