There’s nothing quite like Kentucky Derby day in the Bluegrass and what a glorious day we do have today.
No, I didn’t make one of the Derby gala events Friday night and like most of you I will watch the Derby on my TV later today.
So to help you pass some time today, here are links stories I wrote this week for www.lex18.com.
Start with this one about Allen Edwards knowing he always wanted to be a coach and now having chance at head coach at Wyoming.
Next came a follow-up on UK fan Rodney Branum, who recently lost his bout with cancer. He was an avid fan just like many of you and found a way to touch a lot of people.
A few months ago UK signee Jordan Bonner, a junior college player, was stabbed three times and cut three more times during a spring break visit to his home. However, he’s on track academically and physically to arrive at UK in June.
One of Kentucky’s top recruiting targets right now seems to be Connecticut guard Hamidou Diallo. His coach says he is the nation’s best scorer.
Finally, see my thoughts on the continuing turmoil with the UK women’s basketball tea. It’s just hard to see any easy solution to this.
