Florida quarterback Mac Jones just continues to raise his stock, which is good new for Kentucky since he gave a verbal commitment to the Wildcats. However, it’s also bad news in a peculiar way because of the attention it continue to bring to Jones, who got an Alabama offer about two weeks ago.
He was named MVP of the Rivals Quarterback Challenge Camp in Baltimore over the weekend. He had already won challenge events in Orlando and Atlanta but the Baltimore competition brought together some of the nation’s best quarterbacks.
Jones could easily be elevated from a four-star prospect to a five-star player based on his play this spring. He indicated three weeks ago that he would remain firm in his commitment to Kentucky and 2016 signee Drake Jackson of Woodford County said recently he has seen nothing to make him think Jones w ill waver on his pledge to Kentucky.
Jones has said little more about recruiting since his unofficial visit to Kentucky. Instead, he’s been working on improving what flaws he might have even though with his recent success it is harder and harder to find significant flaws in his play.
