Vaught’s note: Brooke Gunn Morrison is a MSD teacher from Greenville, KY. She graduated from Georgetown College where she played basketball for three years. Brooke has been a lifelong Wildcat fan. She attended her first UK game when she was just 9 months old. She has been married to Michael Morrison for 6 years and is the mother of Wesley (5 years) and Ali (2 years). She wrote this tribute to Tyler  Ulis I thought you would enjoy.

Leadership can conjure many images. It could be a political leader signing a treaty for peace. It could be a research lab assistant helping on the cure to cancer.

Leadership is many things to many different people. But for BBN, Tyler Ulis exemplifies  the way we understand leadership.

At 5-9, he could command an army if he wanted. He is unflappable and determined. Tyler raised the play of his teammates and crippled the opponent’s. BBN dubbed him “Point God” for good reason.
His awareness of the court and of his teammates is unparalleled. BBN may never have the chance to see such a force of basketball nature wrapped in a tiny package.
Tyler Ulis’s smile and love for the game endeared an entire fan base. In a world where “stars” overlook those that made them that way, he thanks each and every person that supported him and encouraged him. He is sincere and loyal.
Tyler Ulis —Forever my Point God.
