If you watch any Lexington TV sports, you know my buddy Alan Cutler, the sports anchor/direct at WLEX-TV (Channel 18).
He can be controversial. He can be opinionated. But he can also be right and no one is more passionate about his job than Cutler.
He’ll join Tim Estes and myself on WPBK-FM 102.9 Tuesday from 7:30-8 a.m. (wpbk.com) to discuss a little bit of everything. Certainly we will talk about the upcoming NCAA Tournament and coach John Calipari, a man Cutler has known a long time.
Cutler also does pregame radio for the Cincinnati Bengals — and does a superb job — and we will mention that.
What some might not realize is that the extensive high school sports coverage provided by all Lexington TV stations is because Cutler started the LEX 18 High School SportsZone, which was the No. 1 sports program in Kentucky for years. Now every Lexington TV station sends cameras to numerous games and the winner has been high school athletes.
Cutler came to WLEX in 1981 and then left in 1984. He came back in 1987 and has been with WLEX ever since. He’s covered the Final Four, Kentucky Derby, UK football and much, much more.
And if you want to know about yoga, he’s your man.
So join us Tuesday morning at 7:30 for a fun 30 minutes.
